Can I add my parents/spouse/child to the GMC policy after inception?

A dependent can be added to a Group Mediclaim policy only if the following conditions are met:
  1. The request to add/remove dependents - parents/spouse/in-laws/child is shared at the time of policy booking.
  2. Once the policy is booked, only a newborn child or a spouse in case of a recent marriage of the employee can be added to the policy.
  3. The request to add a newborn child or a spouse has to be shared with the Insurer within 30 days of the event.
  4. The GMC policy booked by the employer covers members of the family. This can be checked under the family definition section of a particular policy.
