Does my policy cover OPD expenses?
Not every sickness necessitates being hospitalised. OPD (Outpatient Department) expenditures are similar to dental expenses in which it arises when you attend a clinic or hospital for treatment, receive care and medication, and recover from your illness in a few days without hospitalization. Such costs are typically insignificant, and group health insurance programmes do not cover them.
However, there are a few add-on benefits that your firm might have purchased like mydental plan or Practo discounts on OPD. Please visit the benefits section present on the landing page of our Nova benefits application/portal to check for add-on benefits.
