How does platinum coverage work?
Platinum coverage is among one of 4 categories of group health policy. Platinum plans usually have the highest monthly premiums of any plan category but it pays off in the long-run when you are going for a medical procedure since, usually here, the insurer pays for almost 90% of the the total expenses. They may work well if you expect to use a great deal of health care and would rather pay a higher premium and know nearly all other costs are covered.
There usually exists 4 categories to rank health insurances namely bronze, silver, gold and platinum. As you can guess, bronze plan has the lowest monthly premium however, while raising a claim, the insurer will pay for almost 60% of the expenses here and the rest will be paid out of your own pocket and continuously improcing as the level of the plan increases. These plans also can also be upgraded as per request of the employee by raising it to your company's HR which will then be routed to the relevant team at Nova to get it done.
